Resources

The College has adequate infrastructure and physical facilities. Necessary and systematic steps are taken occasionally for the upgradation of learning resources and infrastructure development. Presently new P.G. Block is under construction. College has two blocks, the main block is three storied building having administrative space, staff room, departments and Drawing and Painting department cum laboratory on ground floor. On the first floor there are library cum reading room, computer lab, one seminar cum conference Hall, examination control room and Home Science department cum laboratory There are six classrooms and a student union room on the second floor. The second block has one conference hall and one staff room. The maintenance of equipment/ instruments is done through annual grants received from the state government and other related funds in the College.

Physical and Academic Facilities

  1. To motivate e-learning, the college has a well-furnished 5 Smart classrooms (out of six classrooms).
  2. There is a well-managed and maintained seminar-cum-conference hall with projector and sound system for academic activities/ cultural activities with a seating capacity of around 80 persons.
  3. One computer lab equipped with 20 computers for students and teachers.
  4. The library contains around 13997 books. It is also connected to E-granthalaya and well equipped with computer and internet facilities. Reading room has adequate seating space with magazines and newspaper for students and staff.
  5. The college has established Lok Kala Kendra which showcases folk instruments, utensils, agricultural tools etc. related to culture of Uttarakhand.
  6. Principal office with internet, computer, inverter, ups and LED screen for CCTV.
  7. All the floors of main building have CCTV surveillance.
  8. Drawing & Painting and Home Science departments have classroom cum laboratory.
  9. Wi-Fi connectivity in main block.
  10. Office is equipped with all required facilities.
  11. Examination control room has computer, printer and other required facilities.
  12. One room for students’ union
  13. The college is also registered as one of the study center of Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani (UOU). There is one separate room for UOU office with computer facility and printer.
  14. Provision of fresh and pure drinking water (1 water cooler with RO) is available for students and staff.
  15. Separate male/female washrooms for students and staff members. One washroom on ground floor for people with special need.
  16. One Sanitary Pad vending machine in female students’ washroom.
  17. Touchless hand sanitizer machine installed during Covid by U.O.U

Facilities for cultural facilities

  1. The second block has one hall with a seating capacity of 200 people which is used for conducting cultural activities such as annual function.
  2. The college has a open stage with adequate seating area in front of the main block for cultural and other activities.
  3. The cultural committee has store room for keeping equipment and instruments such as harmonium, table, dholak etc.

Facilities for sports-

  1. The college has separate sports store room for sports equipment and kit.
  2. The District Youth Welfare department’s sports field is adjacent to college building which is used by college for sports activities.

ICT Facilities

1-Smart Classrooms

To enhance the experience of teaching learning the college purchased two digital teaching devices in the session 2020-2021. After seeing the positive impact of the digitalized teaching the college purchased one more digital device in 2021-2022. The college further purchased two more digital teaching devices recently in the session 2023-2024. Thus, presently there are 5 rooms with smart boards where teachers teach through online videos, ppt etc.

2- Computer Lab

The college has a separate computer lab with 20 computers. The room is used by both students and teachers. A six-months certificate computer program for girl students was organized in the college under the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” scheme sponsored by Women Empowerment & Child Development, Bageshwar.

3-Wi-Fi

In the session 2023-2024 the college got installed 2 routers to enable main block of the college fully wi-fi. It is available for all staffs and students.

4- Online Learning

  1. The college has You Tube channel in which teachers upload video lectures time to time and also send videos for Uttarakhand Tele Network YouTube Channel.
  2. In the session 2021-2022 student were facilitated with free Tablet (with latest composition) by direct bank transfer (DBT) under Chief Minister scheme. This initiative strengthened students to use IT facilities in college campus.

Library and Reading Room

The college library is intended for enhancing the academic, intellectual, informational, inspirational and spiritual requirements of the academia with its rich resources and services. The principal allocates the available budget time to time for library upgradation.

  1. The library has a collection of around 13997 text books and reference books in print.
  2. The library has e-Granthalaya. (e-Granthalaya. A Digital Agenda for Library Automation and Networking (egranthalaya.nic.in) The bibliographic details of all the documents in library can be searched online remotely through the Online public access Catalogue through android based mobile app or from the college library link available on the college website.)
  3. Digitalized issue and return of books through e-Granthalaya helps in library management.
  4. All the books in the library have barcode which helps in easy issue and return of books.
  5. The library is Wi-Fi enabled provided with computer access to browse online contents.
  6. The library has reading room with books, magazine and newspapers with seating capacity of around 35 persons. The students utilize their spare time in reading room.
  7. The e-Granthalay also generates library visitors log report.
